Wed, May 26, 2010 MODERN ARCHITECTURE IN NEW YORK and A WALK ON THE HIGH LINE Join architectural historian Matt Postal for a tour of some of New York’s newest architecture. Included in our tour will be a look at the AIC BUILDING by Frank Gehry, the NEW YORK TIMES BUILDING by RENZO PIANO and the HEARST TOWER near Columbus Circle by SIR NORMAN FOSTER. We will walk through the innovative CHELSEA MARKET, formerly the NATIONAL BISCUIT COMPANY (Nabisco) and walk on the HIGH LINE, the exciting 1.45 mile New York City Park recently built on a section of the former elevated freight railroad.
